Windows XP has features that make sending pictures SO easy. Just a couple of clicks and they are on their way.
Don't be intimidated by all the steps and words below. This is the long version with lots of extra tips to make you an expert at sending photos using XP

First we have to find the pictures you want to send on your computer. Use Windows Explorer to find them. Click the green start button on the lower left of your screen, then double click on Windows Explorer near the top left of the menu that appears. |

In Windows Explorer make sure the FOLDERS button on the
shortcuts bar on the top is selected so you can see your folders in
the left pane. Then click the folder where your pictures are.
(Typically this will be a folder inside the My Pictures folder.
Here it is called CBYC2006)
You can view all the pictures in the folder several ways. The button just to the right of the FOLDERS button on the shortcuts bar gives you viewing options when you click it. Select Thumbnails. |

Now lets select all the pictures we want to send. Hold the Ctrl key and click on the first picture to send. A blue outline will appear around it. Keep holding the Ctrl key and point and click to the second picture we want to send. A blue outline will appear around both the first and second pictures to indicate both are selected. Keep holding the Ctrl key and point and click on the third, fourth, etc pictures. (All the pictures will have a blue outline around them to indicate they are selected.) |

Now that you have selected all the pictures to send and they have a blue outline around them, take your hands off the keyboard! Point to one of the thumbnails that has a blue outline and RIGHT-CLICK. (Click the starboard button on your mouse once) A menu will pop up. Click on SEND TO and another menu will pop up. Click on MAIL RECIPIENT and a new Window (called Send pictures via email) will open |

Before we click OK to send we need to select the size of picture we
want to send. Click on the words on the bottom left of the new
window that say "Show more options" and the window
will expand to look like this. If you are happy with your pictures and just want me to publish them, click on the radio button for LARGE fits in a 1024 by 768 window and then click OK. If you want me to do some cropping and enhancements click on the radio button Keep the original size. (It gives me more to work with) and then click OK. |

Last step. Type the e-mal address (photos@cbyc.info) and click on SEND. |
