January 8th was the AGM at the Clubhouse. With a good turnout a quorum was readily achieved.

Oscar conducted the business. The minutes from the 2006 AGM were reviewed and accepted. Oscar reviewed the club's financial position.
A resolution from the floor resulted in Dave Marshall forming a group to analyze revenue and costs and provide data to the executive to aid their decision making. Another resolution from the floor was easily passed to impose a one time $100 assessment on all members for 2007 to ensure CBYC has enough cash to operate in 2007.

Ken Harrap reported that reciprocal memberships have increased in 2006 to 75 yacht clubs, up form 56 in 2005. CBYC hosted 3 reciprocal visitors in 2006.

Heather McMullen volunteered to improve the communication to the members. Expect more emails and postings on the web sites. Oscar welcomed her to the new position with the traditional kiss.

Rick Erickson is the new Port Captain - again welcomed with the traditional kiss. (Who started this tradition!)
Later Marlon and Darryl offered to help Rich - what's so funny about that!

After, many members enjoyed a drink and a few laughs.
